Kristinebergsklipporna

Kristinebergsklipporna

Swedes love putting words together until you have mammoths like Kristinebergsklipporna. And then I look at it for too long and it all becomes nonsense and I have to copy-paste to make sure I've not made a mistake.

Stockholm sits spread across several islands of an archipelago in the Baltic Sea. Lots of islands means lots of water. Stockholm also has a lot of people. Greater Stockholm has about 2.5 million inhabitants. The city itself (I'm not sure how that's defined, really) is a smidge under a million. This usually doesn't lend itself to swimmable waters thanks to pollution and mess, but Stockholm is an exception and the water is perfectly safe to swim in. It's fresh, sweet, and cool.

Kristinebergsklipporna, the cliffs of Kristineberg, sit about 4 kilometres west of the Stockholm city-centre. They are a brief 4-or-so stop subway trip and stroll away.

I didn't take a lot of photos at this spot because most of the time was spent in the water.

Don't expect to get this place to yourself - summer or winter.
